For kids, against DIPG; feel that connection

We’d like to tell you a story.
It’s a tale both touching and tragic. Emotional, yet inspiring.
It’s about a girl named Kira.  It’s about a connection.  It’s about an invisible thread that has its roots in Norway.  It runs right through our backyard, here in Rhode Island and continues to Mexico, touching countless lives on its continual journey.
It’s a tale that began – for us – about six months ago and it’s one that’ll take some time to tell properly. Too much for one post, but that’s okay, because this is about more than a blog.
No life is separate from another, and this is a connection so profound that the story will run, with many chapters still to be written.
For now, let us tell you that Kira is no longer with us.  That the childhood cancer, DIPG, her Aunt Kim told us about last year took her, from her family and from all of us.   That Kira’s spirit lives on in hearts and minds.  She is gone from our sight, yet still connected.  That will never change.
Before Kira’s passing, Kim asked us to create a special ‘Kira’ OM.
We made two, one for Kira, the other for her cousin, Kim’s daughter.
Identical OMs, symbolizing one beautiful truth:
That connection lasts forever and no distance can separate two hearts.
So strong was that connection, Kim says that during the difficult times, the cousins found themselves able to communicate via their OMs.  That thread, binding lives and never to be broken, provided considerable comfort.
Sadly, despite fighting with everything she had, Kira Fierce, as she became known, passed away from DIPG shortly after her ninth birthday  (November 5, 2017)
Not before touching innumerable lives!
Not before setting an example to us all. Not before reserving a special place in our hearts. Not before underlining that we are all connected.
To celebrate and honor Kira, and her connection with all the children who are still facing their battle against DIPG, we’ve created the Totally Infinity OM.
One is for you, the other for someone who holds a special place in your heart. When the time comes to give it away, you will know.
When you order this inspirational OM, you will be directly supporting the children receiving treatment for (DIPG) Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, the cancer that claimed Kira and that strikes 4,000 children worldwide every year.

The connection continues thanks to Kira ✨

Thank you for your support in advance!

Your love.  Your heart.

Grab onto that thread and don’t let go.

For kids. For connection. For Kira.

We are all connected.

October 13, 2008 – November 15, 2017. Connected to us, always.
